i had zero acl left and a torn, shifted meniscus. dr. diefendorf, the nicest man, who is my surgeon, used part of my patella tendon to make a new acl. he grafted some bone to use as anchors for the tendon, which you can see now in my xrays. he also stitched up my meniscus and moved it back in place.
